Kristene E. Whitmore, MD
Chair and Professor of Urology, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine. Director of the Pelvic and Sexual Health Institute in Philadelphia PA.
Dr. Whitmore did her urology residency at U.C.L.A. In practice for 22 years, she has trained over 90 residents and fellows in female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. She wrote the Book "Overcoming Bladder Disorders", and is a member of the Interstitial Cystitis Association, Project Advisory Board for the National Association for Continence, and a Board member of the American Urogynecologic Society Foundation, and reviewer of N.I.H. grants. She has treated more than 9,000 Interstitial Cystitis patients. Dr. Whitmore is and has been a patient advocate, author and visiting Professor for women's urologic and pelvic floor disorders.
Published in 1990, Dr. Whitmores book "Overcoming Bladder Disorders" established her as a nationally known author and physician. Described as "the best resource any patient with a bladder disorder could find." |
