Overactive Bladder

Term used to describe a bladder in which uncontrolled detrusor activity (abnormal contractions) is the suspected cause of urinary frequency (including waking to urinary), and/or urge incontinence.

Urinary Incontinence

A condition in which involuntary loss of urine is a social or hygenic problem. Incontinence may be classified by type, e.g. stress, urge, reflex or overflow incontinence.

Female Sexual Disfunction (FSD)

A condition that affects an estimated 43% of American women at some time in their lives. FSD is composed of the following possible symptoms:

1) Descreased clitoral and genital sensitivity

2) Diminished vaginal lubrication

3) Reduced or inability of achieving orgasm

4) Lowered overall sexual desire and/or satisfaction

Dr. Cynthia D. Hall, M.D.

We are thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Cynthia Hall to the practice of Dr. Kristene Whitmore. Dr. Hall is board certified in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, a newly board-certified subspecialty. Previously, Dr. Hall was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center , a major tertiary referral center in Los Angeles, CA. At Cedars Sinai, she founded the Center for Women�s Continence and Reconstructive Surgery, a multi-disciplinary Center of Excellence which facilitated collaboration between specialists for women with pelvic floor disorders.

Erica Fletcher, PT, MTC

Erica Fletcher, PT, MTC received a degree in physical therapy from The University of Wisconsin in 1984. She received a certification to practice manual physical therapy from The Institute of Physical Theraphy in St. Augustine, Florida. She presently studies the osteopathic approach to manual treatment with the URSA Foundation in Seattle, Washington.
Ms Fletcher speaks at National and International Conferences on Pelvic Floor Disorders.
